Dennis Klemming was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1962. He grew up in a suburb called Bredäng south of Stockholm. At the age of 11 Dennis became a “skolpolis” (a 6:th grade pupil that helps with traffic controls and safety at schools) in Björksatraskolan where he went for middle school.

At the age of 15 he entered the then newly formed Natural Science Programme at the Norra real high school at Jarlaplan in Stockholm. Then a experimental new programme with 3 years of studies in science. He then went on with legal studies at the Stockholm university (1984 — 1987) followed by business studies at Stockholm School of Economics (1985 — 1988)
The forming of selector 2000
Dennis Klemming was one of the founders of the company Selector Capital Management Corp. During these years he raised over 1 bn usd in capital for different projects.

Between the age of 12 and 16 Dennis was a quite successful hockey player and his team more or less won all the tournaments they participated in during his early teens. At the age of 14 he was one of the coaches at Leksands (a Swedish hockey team) summer hockey camp alongside members of the Swedish national hockey team, Dan Soderstrom, Dan Labraten, Mats Ahlberg och Kenta Nilsson. 1978 at the age of 16 Dennis Klemming played ice hockey for Hammarby IF. He was also part of the hockey team that played for Stockholm county in the Swedish hockey league “TV-pucken”. They won the entire league, Hammarby had 6 players in the competition of which Dennis was one.
