What is SCPLH Personal licence?

I already have an APLH Personal licence, do I need to apply for a SCPLH Personal licence?  

Yes, if you want to work in the alcohol industry in Scotland, then you need to obtain a SCPLH Personal licence. All individuals who sell or supply alcohol in Scotland should get  licence through SCPLH.

How much does it cost to apply for a SCPLH licence?  

There is no fee for applying for a SCPLH Personal licence. However, you will need to pay for the accredited training course, which typically costs around £150.

What happens if my SCPLH licence expires?  

If your SCPLH Personal licence expires, then you will no longer be able to sell or supply alcohol in Scotland. You will also be unable to work in any licensed premises in Scotland.
